Political views
Advocating cross-strait exchanges, China and Taiwan must support each other in two aspects. 50 years, the two sides should not talk about political issues and open cross-strait economy; Taiwan authorities should help financial operators to invest in mainland China as soon as possible, open up Chinese mainland Taiwanese businessmen to return to Taiwan, and allow mainland financial institutions to be acquired.
Previous position
He is the director and professor of economic policy research center of Taiwan Chengchi University, the resident supervisor of Taiwan Cooperative Treasury bank, and a visiting scholar of Economics Department of Harvard University and Stanford University. Visiting professor of China Economic Research Center of Peking University, School of economics and management of Tsinghua University and Chinese Academy of Sciences.
evaluate
As Taiwan's youngest female doctor and Professor, Li Jizhu has always been famous in Taiwan's financial circles for her "good image and ability". Because of this, there are so many rumors about this single female professor on the island. Li Jizhu jokingly called Taiwan's media "manufacturing industry" and was keen on making news out of thin air. Li Jizhu, who is like a orchid in temperament, deliberately keeps a consistent low profile and prudence. She rarely accepts any form of interview, especially does not want to be "exposed" by photographers. She said: "there are too many cameras, and there is no freedom." In the Langrun garden of Peking University, there is an office belonging to Li Jizhu, who is a visiting professor here. Financial currency, international finance and macro-economy are all Li Jizhu's academic favorites. She studies the surging financial integration, and pays more attention to the free exchange and economic and trade exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.
In Taiwan, the cooperative Treasury bank is the second largest commercial bank after the Bank of Taiwan. Li Jizhu is the resident Supervisor (i.e. the chairman of the board of supervisors) of the bank. She is the successor and had been the "chairman" for three years before. The board of supervisors exercises the "independent authority" to supervise the board of directors. Almost every week, Li Jizhu attends the executive board meeting of the cooperative Treasury bank. For her, it is the "most sacred" power to solemnly sign her name on the bank's financial report.
The financial and economic circles have always been dominated by men. Li Jizhu, who seems to be a "delicate woman", is a smart woman. With her brilliant talent and positive attitude towards life, she holds up half of the sky in Taiwan's financial and economic circles, and can be called a unique figure in Taiwan. Li Jizhu, who is rich in years, has always paid attention to the process of life. She said: "it's the happiest thing to have the opportunity to combine one's life according to one's own wishes. The process is more important than the result. I don't expect to show off for a while. I just want my life to be wonderful and rich enough. "
Character's speech
Recalling the past
"Studying economy makes me both perceptual and rational"
Recalling the past, Li Jizhu was especially grateful to her mother for giving her a happy and happy childhood. "My mother's requirements for me are very simple: just be healthy and happy. What I miss most is singing folk songs on the campus grass of Lanyang women's middle school, reading freely with the evening wind blowing in the bamboo forest, and "reading" Qiongyao's novels madly. Before the University, my life was carefree, and there was no pressure of examination at all.
”Li Jizhu, who is studying in a girls' school in the countryside, has a strong preference for mathematical courses. There are very few female teachers teaching mathematical courses in girls' schools. On the eve of high school graduation, the teacher solemnly said to Li Jizhu: there is a subject called "economy", which uses a lot of mathematics. You should be very happy to learn, and you don't have to be so painful. Taking the train to Taipei to take part in the "joint examination", Li Jizhu, in her infancy, did not hesitate to fill in the "Department of economics" of National Chengchi University. However, when she really studied "economics", she still didn't like it very much. During the University, Li Jizhu spent a lot of time in youth club activities, read a lot of engineering books, and even secretly wanted to change majors. He was also admitted to the Institute of Engineering with excellent results, which really surprised the teachers and tried to persuade Li Jizhu. In her junior year, Li Jizhu felt a little guilty about the major she chose. She felt that economics seemed useless. She was neither so "specialized" in accounting nor so "refined" in business management. But looking back calmly, it's a pity that Li Jizhu has spent three years in college. He decided to study economics well and start from the most basic principles of economics. After reading the classics of western economics, Li Jizhu suddenly found that economics was so lively and full of philosophy.
At the age of 26, Li Jizhu received a doctorate in economics from Taiwan University. She was the youngest female doctor of economics in Taiwan. She was the first straight doctor in the Department and won the best Doctoral Dissertation Award. Li Jizhu was glad that he didn't have the spirit to switch to engineering. "Engineering is too cold, unlike economics, which has a strong humanistic care and social care. Later, I went to Harvard University and Stanford University, where the professors deliberately asked me to stay. In my opinion, economic research should be done in a familiar environment. To me, an increase of 1 percentage point in the unemployment rate in the United States is just a research topic, and I don't really feel it. However, if the unemployment rate in Taiwan increases by 0.1 percentage point, I will deeply feel it, because my friends are unemployed. In this way, my economic research has a kind of concern in it. In my opinion, economics is a science with strong social concern, sensibility and rationality, and I am a woman with both sensibility and rationality. " Li Jizhu said.
If I can plan my life, I hope I can get married soon.
Life planning
"If I can plan my life, I want to get married soon."
"I never make plans in my life. I don't believe that I can make plans in my life. If I can make plans, I hope I can get married quickly." Li Jizhu burst out laughing. "It's most important to do a good job in the present. When all kinds of choices come, it's enough that you can grasp a" choice "that has a profound impact on yourself." Li Jizhu, who is over thirty years old, naturally becomes independent and thoughtful. She likes to listen to concerts, both classical and modern. Her CDs are all over the wall at home. In her spare time, she can enjoy herself by visiting galleries and bookstores. Born as one of the most influential women in Taiwan, Li Jizhu's love life has always been a blank. When it comes to love, she says that what she most envies is the kind of tacit understanding of a partner who "holds her son's hand and grows old with her son.". Li Jizhu has a strong sense of family. Whether he is a professor in a university or a guest in Beijing, his mother always accompanies him. In Li Jizhu's mind, mother is more important than everything.
Visit the mainland
Ten years ago, Mr. Lin Zhongxiong, Taiwan's "national finance and economics teacher", personally led a financial delegation to visit the mainland, accompanied by Li Jizhu. At that time, she visited the mainland "personally" for the first time
