Birmingham Hu
National Party members. Major general, infantry section chief of Wuhan Branch of the Central Military Academy. Later, he served as deputy commander in chief of the police headquarters and deputy commander of the Air Defense Department of the Kuomintang.
Hu was a former Kuomintang lieutenant general in the army. He graduated from Baoding military academy. He has successively served as battalion commander and commander of the national revolutionary army. During the Anti Japanese War, he served as division commander and deputy commander of the first 96th division of the Kuomintang army, security commander of the Fifth District of Henan Province, chief of staff and deputy commander of air defense of Chongqing garrison headquarters, deputy commander of the 39th group army and commander of the new Eighth Army. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he served as deputy commander of the Beiping Garrison and deputy commander in chief of the Beiping air defense command. He went to Taiwan in 1949 and was a director of Taiwan sugar company. He died in Taipei in 1973.
