Gao Xian, named Nanshan, was born in 1342 A.D., at the foot of Dangshan mountain, Liangcun Town, HUAIJI County, Guangdong Province.

He is intelligent since childhood and has a different demeanor from ordinary people. He is good at classics and history, CI and Fu, especially silk bamboo. He can help people out of poverty and do things fairly and honestly, which is admired by all people. When he was 18 years old, he saw the court in the daytime. He called himself Mr. Danshui. He happened to be in trouble with Jiaozhi. Gao Xian was ordered to go on an expedition. He was granted the title of Jieyuan of Nanshan Mountain by Emperor mushun of the Yuan Dynasty and the title of thirty-six Marquis and sixteen officials to protect the country. At the age of 20, he served as the main hall of Gaozhou prefecture (now Maoming City, Guangdong Province). Unfortunately, Gao Xian died at the age of 24. Qincuo is located in the hometown of tanteng.

In order to commemorate Gao Xian's great achievements, many temples around HUAIJI now offer the throne of Jieyuan in Nanshan, and have their statues. For example, in Fenggang town, HUAIJI County, Guangdong Province, there are longduzu temple in Longfeng village, Baofeng temple in Shangdeng village, and so on.
