Xing Jian
Xing Jian, born on May 2, 1984 in Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province, is a male director and screenwriter from the mainland of China. He graduated from the Photography Department of the school of American film and television of Chongqing University.
In 2008, the 3-minute DV experimental film "pure land" won the best short film award of "Oriental International Film Festival" established by the British Film Association. In 2015, he won the art exploration award of the 22nd Beijing University Students Film Festival for his film winter. In September, he won the best artistic contribution award of the 39th Montreal International Film Festival for his film winter. In 2017, he served as an art director in the art film the tree of day and night. In 2018, he directed the feature film "winter comes and winter goes". In 2019, he won the annual new director award of the 14th Chinese youth film week with the feature film "winter goes and winter comes again".
Early experience
In September 2005, he entered the Photography Department of the school of film and television of Chongqing University. In March 2008, the 3-minute DV experimental film "pure land" directed by Xing Jian, who was studying as an undergraduate, won the best short film award of "Oriental International Film Festival" established by the British Film Association; in the same month, "pure land" was shortlisted in the international student film exhibition of Beijing Film Academy.
