Character evaluation
Du Qifeng is one of the few directors in Hong Kong who make films seriously. His creation is consistent. Generally speaking, it is black, violent, dynamic and fatalistic. In addition to his black philosophy, simplicity and aesthetic attitude towards violence, the most important reason why people like and appreciate his films is that his films can always give the audience men's sigh beyond vision. The most exciting feature of duqifeng's film is gunfire. This film not only breaks through the limitations of gangster movies, but also lays the foundation of "Du's Aesthetics" (review of Nandu Entertainment Weekly).
Du Qifeng is a director with obvious film style, and he prefers black films. The relationship between Du Qifeng and Galaxy creative group is also inseparable. His and Wei Jiahui's works are classic. Wei Jiahui's works that do not cooperate with Du Qifeng are chaotic, which shows that Du Qifeng has strict control. His creative group gives the story more connotation and plot transition. Craftsman and Du Qifeng have their own side.
Through the shooting of many films, Du Qifeng has formed his unique Du style: delicate and full of tension action scenes, ingenious but natural story passages, old and steady orthodox flavor and distinctive images of Qifeng (Tencent online review).
Du Qifeng's films are pure and changeable, tough and delicate. His 100 films have 100 labels of "made in Hong Kong": the warmth of "a Lang" is the desolation of the hero's brow at the end of the road, and the coldness of "gunfire" is accompanied by the burning of bullets
