Steamed Pikaqiu
Introduction:
Production steps:
Step 1: peel the sweet potato after steaming, cool it, put it in the fresh-keeping bag and press it into mud with a rolling pin
Step 2: melt the yeast powder with a little warm water, pour it into the medium gluten flour, add the mashed potato and stir it, then turn it into a bowl of sugar water in a bowl, add it into the flour step by step, stir it until the dough is smooth and not sticky, then you can start fermentation. I use the toaster to operate. The fermentation time is about 30 minutes. Dip some flour with my fingers and press the dough. If the dough doesn't retract and the cavity won't be backfilled, it proves that the fermentation is in place.
Step 3: take out the fermented dough and knead it for ten minutes. Start shaping. Take a large dough and knead it into a round shape to flatten it as Pikachu's face. Then take a small dough and knead it into olive shape. Cut the olive shape dough from the middle with a knife. Flatten the cut place slightly. Dip some water on the top of Pikachu's head as an ear.
Step 4: take another piece of dough, add cocoa powder and knead well.
Step 5: flatten the cocoa dough and roll it into thin skin, press out two small circles with pen cap to make eyes, cut two triangles with scissors to make ear tip decoration, and rub a thin strip to make mouth.
Step 6: stick the cocoa dough on Pikachu's face and ears; stick the noodles on his mouth with water, and smile carefully. Finally, cut two slices of carrot and stick them on your cheek, then squeeze two pieces of salad dressing on your eyes. After all these steps, let the dough stand for ten minutes.
Step 7: pull Pikachu's ear aside a little. Steam with cold water in a pan. When the water boils, turn the high heat to medium heat. Steam for about 20 minutes. Turn off the engine and wait five minutes before uncovering. Look, the steamed version of Pikachu has become fat after such a steaming. Ha ha.
Materials required:
Medium gluten flour: 150g
Sweet potato with yellow heart: half a piece
Fast yeast powder: right amount
Water: moderate
Cocoa powder: moderate
Carrot: a small piece
Salad dressing: right amount
White granulated sugar: right amount
Note: the sweet potato I use is red skin and yellow heart, very sweet, but it also has more water, so I don't need to add too much water to the dough. If you have bean paste or sesame seed paste at home, you can also pack it into Pikachu's face. It's also delicious. You should be careful not to show your stuffing when modeling. This time, I was lazy to add sugar water in the dough instead of filling. The steamed Pikachu is not so much steamed bun as steamed bread, hehe. Steamed buns become fat after steaming. I think if I had a chocolate pen at home, I would draw eyes, ears and mouth after steaming. The effect would be much better, and it would be much easier than using cocoa dough to make facial features.
