Introduction to Reba dance (such as Dinga Reba)
Applicant: Tibet Autonomous Region
Reba dance is a form of dance performed by Tibetan "Reba" artists. Reba is a kind of comprehensive art performed by a troupe of vagrant artists (generally composed of families) who make a living by performing arts. It is mainly composed of tambourine and integrates rap, harmony (song and dance), acrobatics, qigong and Reba drama. According to historical records, Reba originated in the 11th century AD and was founded by Milarepa, the second-generation patriarch of Tibetan Buddhism. The predecessor of Reba is the "witchcraft" and "totem dance" of the primitive religion "Benjiao" in Tibet. It has a long history, rich content, unique style, superb skills, witty monologue and peculiar mask, and absorbs the essence of ancient Xiangxiong culture, religious culture and folk art. Therefore, it has become a wonderful flower in Tibetan ancient splendid culture and art, with high artistic value and research value. Reba dance is distributed in Changdu, Gongbu, Naqu, Yunnan, Sichuan, Qinghai, Gansu and other Tibetan areas.
Dinggareba is a popular folk dance in Naqu area of northern Tibet, such as dingga village, Xiaqu Township, Xiaqu county. According to the recollection of local artists and the Tibetan text of naxu Zhiru history written by RenWang Danzeng and sorangduoji of the county CPPCC, the earliest dinggareba was an independent dance art created and developed on the basis of the original folk Reba in 1040. In history, this kind of Reba dance has gone through the development and evolution process from the folk to the temple, and from the temple back to the folk.
The existing dingga Reba can be divided into two forms: Reba performed by Temple lamas and Reba performed by folk artists. In the past, dinggareba, a folk artist, was inherited from generation to generation by father and son. Now, a village based Reba team has been established, and the inheritance has been expanded. There are many traditional programs in dinggareba, more than 30 in total. Each program has different jumping methods and postures. Its contents include telling Tibetan history, legends and stories, and promoting religious ideas for the needs of temple sacrificial activities. The representative plays include: Ou Dong (drumming), "Qu Jie Luo Sang" (Prince Luo Sang), and "Si Bai Ba Ma Gan Guo" (primitive old drama) Parents), "Jiasha gongjuelangba" (welcome Princess Wencheng), "guru duojire" (diamond dance hall), etc. Ding Ga's hot bar dance not only has the movement rules of local herdsmen dance, but also draws lessons from the dance of the hot drum bell drum dance in Changdu, with the smooth footsteps of the herdsmen dancing as the basic footwork, and the upper body performance absorbs the passionate and bold movements of the Changdu RBA woman's drum, thus forming the unique style of merging the essence of the dance in eastern Tibet. There are also many interesting performances, simulated animal actions and some plots in dinggareba.
For hundreds of years, with the joint efforts of dingga villagers, dinggareba has been constantly improving, and its dance styles and programs have become increasingly rich. Dinggareba contains the connotation of Tibetan traditional culture, reflects the outstanding creative ability of Tibetan people in singing and dancing art, reflects the open and integrated side of Tibetan culture, and is unique in Tibetan Reba dance.
