Brief introduction of Jieshou painted pottery firing technique:
Applicant: Jieshou City, Anhui Province
The firing skills of Jieshou painted pottery originated from the Tang Dynasty, and is the essence of handicrafts in Huaibei. In 1999, a large number of Jieshou tricolor pottery pieces were unearthed from the Liuzi canal in Huaibei, which became one of the top ten archaeological discoveries in China at that time.
Jieshou painted pottery inherits the three colors of Tang Dynasty, and absorbs the artistic style of paper-cut and woodcut New Year pictures. In the production of tread, Jieshou painted pottery is decorated with two layers of make-up soil, showing two basic contrast colors of ochre, yellow or ochre and white in the process of depiction; in the depiction theme, besides the flowers, birds, fish and insects in life as the creation objects, it also focuses on absorbing the artistic elements of traditional opera in the form of scenes. Lushanyi's "Dao Ma Ren" series is its generation Table: in terms of firing, Jieshou painted pottery is first dehumidified and then plain fired. The temperature is generally 700-800 degrees centigrade. The finished product is brick red painted pottery. After plain firing, it can be glazed, that is, it is coated with glaze containing lead, silicon dioxide and silt, and then put into a pottery casket. Gradually increase the temperature to 1000-1050 degrees centigrade. After burning for two days and two nights, the finished product is Jieshou painted pottery with red ground and white flowers.
Jieshou painted pottery embodies the honest and simple character of farmers and the aesthetic interest of great clumsiness and ingenuity, and reflects the aesthetic trend of advocating nature and pursuing harmony in Chinese folk art. This kind of art is very popular at home and abroad, and the Victoria Museum of England has a collection of three color pottery.
Historically, Jieshou painted pottery was mainly distributed in 13 villages on the South Bank of Yinghe River in Jieshou City, Anhui Province. Because the villagers in each village made a living by pottery, and the village name was "pottery kiln", so there is a saying of "Thirteen kilns". These villages are now under the jurisdiction of Tianying Town, Jieshou City, Anhui Province. In 1958, Jieshou set up a craft ceramics factory on Shunhe Road on the North Bank of Yinghe river. Now the factory has become the main production place of painted pottery, and the firing skills of Jieshou painted pottery have been spread here. However, in recent years, due to the impact of modern industrial products, the traditional pottery products are unsalable, the market is depressed, and most young people are unwilling to learn from teachers. Therefore, the firing technology of Jieshou pottery has no successor, so it is necessary to protect it.
