Chengqiao Street

Chengqiao street is located in the north suburb of Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, adjacent to the west of Liuhe District. With an area of 121 square kilometers and a population of 46903 (in 2010), it has jurisdiction over 8 community (Village) committees. Chengqiao street was established as Chengqiao commune in 1970 and Chengqiao Township in 1983. In 1992, the township was withdrawn to build a town. In March 2000, it merged with the original Zhucheng township to establish a new Chengqiao town. On February 10, 2010, the town was withdrawn to build a street and Chengqiao street was established.
