Lukou street is located in the south of Jiangning District, Nanjing City, adjacent to Qinhuai River in the East and Zhetang street of Lishui district across the river, connected with Hengxi street in the west, Shiqiu town of Lishui district and Bowang town of Bowang District of Maanshan City in Anhui Province in the south, moling street and Hushu Street in the north. Lukou street is 19.12 km long from north to South and 10.56 km wide from east to west, with a total area of 165 square kilometers. It governs 30 communities with a population of 85670 (2010). Lukou street has been identified as the national key town, provincial new model small town, provincial construction key town and central town, and Nanjing is the first town to implement the strategy of "three cities and nine towns".
