Zhonggu town
Chonggu town is subordinate to Qingpu District of Shanghai, with Fengxi in the East, Zhaoxiang in the south, Xianghuaqiao in the west, Baihe in the north, 15 km from Hongqiao Airport and 9 km from Qingpu regional center. It has 8 administrative villages and 2 communities with a total area of 24.02 square kilometers, including 12.17 square kilometers of arable land. In the early Song Dynasty, it was named Gu village. After its establishment, it was changed to its present name. In 2014, Chonggu town achieved a GDP of 3.42 billion yuan, an increase of 3% over 2013.
In Chonggu Town, there are fuquanshan ancient cultural sites known as "Shanghai historical chronology" and luotuodun ancient cultural sites, a national AAA tourist attraction.
In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association confirmed Chonggu town as the National Health Township in 2019.
History of construction
Chonggu town belonged to Yangzhou in ancient times. It belonged to Kuaiji County in Qin Dynasty, Huating County in Tang and Song Dynasty, and Xinjiang Township in Shanghai county in Yuan Dynasty.
From the 21th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1542) to the first year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1723), it belongs to Xinjiang township of Qingpu County.
In 1724, Fuquan county was built in Beiting and Xinjiang townships, and Chonggu township was subordinate to Fuquan county.
In 1743, Fuquan county was withdrawn from Qianlong County, and Beiting and Xinjiang townships were still returned to Qingpu County and renamed Haizhong township.
The first year of Xuantong (1909) promulgated the new system of government, prefecture and county autonomy.
In 1910, there were 16 autonomous townships in the county. Chonggu Township belonged to Gu, Nian, Xiang, Jia and Hui townships. The township autonomous office was located in Fuquan mountain, Chonggu town.
In 1929, the county changed its regional name. Gu, Nian, Xiang, Jia and Hui districts were renamed Fuquan district.
In 1931, eight district offices were set up in the county. Chonggu township was divided into five and six districts.
In 1937, Chonggu Town, Jiadian Township and other eight districts and 92 townships belonged to Qingpu County.
In 1938, an anti Japanese democratic government was established in the eastern part of Qinghai Province. 5、 Six, seven, eight districts set up joint offices, Chonggu Township in addition to zhangnian one belongs to five districts, the rest belong to six districts. The puppet regime divided Chonggu Township into the third district of Qingpu County.
In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), the district was withdrawn, and all towns and townships were directly under the jurisdiction of the county.
In 1948, villages and towns were merged. There were two district offices in Qingdong and Qingxi. Chonggu town belonged to Qingdong district.
On May 14, 1949, Qingpu was liberated. Qingpu County People's government was established. Set up a district, a city, ten Township, town joint office, Chonggu area is the seventh Township Joint Office. District and township governments will be set up at the end of October.
In April 1950, Longfeng and Chonggu were merged into Longgu District, Shanqian township was renamed Chonggu Township, and the district government moved to Fengxi.
In 1955, Longgu district was withdrawn and Chonggu district was restored. The district government returned to Chonggu town.
In 1957, Chonggu district was removed and merged into Chonggu and Guanyin townships. Among the original Chonggu District, the four townships of Xin, zhangnian, Jiadian and Chonggu, and the two townships of nianxi and Puguang were merged into Chonggu township (big township) directly under the county. The township government was located in Chonggu town.
In 1958, the people's commune was established, and the government and society were integrated. Chonggu township was renamed Chonggu people's commune.
In 1984, the government and society were separated, the system of township and village was restored, and the Township People's government was re established.
In December 1993, the township was removed to build a town, and the system of town governing the village was implemented, and the emphasis on strengthening the township was changed to the emphasis on strengthening the town.
On January 8, 2001, Xianghuaqiao and the former Chonggu town were abolished and a new Chonggu town was built.
On December 7, 2016, the national development and Reform Commission and other 11 ministries and commissions issued a notice, agreeing to list 111 cities (towns) including Chonggu town as the third batch of national new urbanization comprehensive pilot areas, requiring to start the pilot by the end of 2016, achieve the phased results of the pilot task by 2018, form replicable and promotable experience, and comprehensively and orderly promote the successful experience of the pilot nationwide by 2020.

In 1947, Chonggu district was located in Chonggu district. Zhangnian, Xuyuan and Yaolian of Chonggu Township belong to Qingnian Township, and the rest belong to Chonggu town.
In 1949, the district had jurisdiction over seven townships, namely Huaihai, Huachao, Xinyi, zhangnian, Shanqian (Chonggu), Zhongxin and Jiadian.
In 1950, Longfeng and Chonggu were merged into Longgu District, which governs 13 townships of Chonggu, Jiadian, Huaihai, zhangnian, Xu'an, Zhongxin, Xinyi, Longnan, Songlu, Duyin, Guanyin, zhaidong and Huachao.
In 1955, Chonggu district was restored and the district government returned to Chonggu town. The district has jurisdiction over 11 townships, including Songlu, Xinyi, Huachao, Guanyin, Zhongxin, zhangnian, Huaihai, nianxi, Jiadian, Chonggu and Puguang.
In 1957, Chonggu district was demolished into Chonggu and Guanyin townships, and the original Chonggu district was merged into Chonggu townships, which were Xin, zhangnian, Jiadian and Chonggu townships, and nianxi and Puguang townships.
In 1984, the people's Government of Chonggu township was reestablished. It has 14 administrative villages, including Yaolian, Xuyuan, Xinfeng, zhangnian, Huilong, chonglian, Zhongxin, Xinli, maojiajiao, qianjiajing, Shanqian, Jiadian, Jiayi and aquatic products (fishermen), with a total of 158 villagers' groups (production teams). The residents' committee of Chonggu town was set up, and four villages, Fuquan, Gubei, Gunan and zhangnian, were set up in Chonggu and zhangnian towns The streets are divided into 13 resident groups.
In December 1993, the township was removed and built into a town with one street, 14 villages and 158 villager groups.

Location context
Chonggu town is located in the northeast of Qingpu District in the western suburb of Shanghai. It is adjacent to Huaxin Town in the East, Zhaoxiang town in the south, Xianghuaqiao street and Qingpu Industrial Park in the west, and Baihe Town in the north. The total area of the town is 24.02 square kilometers and the cultivated area is 12.17 square kilometers. It is located at the intersection of A30 and Suhong highway. It is 15km and 40km away from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Pudong International Airport in the East, national highway 318 in the south, national highway 312 and Shanghai Nanjing Expressway in the north.

Chonggu is located in the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River Delta, in the lower reaches of Taihu Lake Basin, with flat terrain and dense river network. The ground elevation is generally about 3 meters, and the Fuquan mountain is 7 meters high. The northern part of the town along the river is slightly higher, between 3-4 meters, with sufficient water source, green loess and sand bottom, most of which are green loess, deep groundwater and light waterlogging. Nanbanzhen is a low-lying hinterland with a slightly lower terrain. The ground elevation is generally between 2.4 and 2.8 meters.
Climatic characteristics
Chonggu town is located in the Yangtze River Delta and Taihu Plain, with subtropical monsoon climate, mild and humid, and four distinct seasons. Spring and autumn are short, winter and summer are long. The average annual temperature is 15.5 ℃, the average annual precipitation is 1044.7 mm, and the average annual rainfall day is 132.9 days. In spring, the weather is changeable; in summer, the southerly wind drives straight in, and the weather is hot and rainy; in autumn, the weather is crisp; in winter, the weather is cold and rainy due to the northerly wind. The annual average frost free period is 236 days, with the first frost period around November 9 and the last frost period around late March.

According to the statistics at the end of 1979, Chonggu commune has 2611.27 hectares of cultivated land. Among them, 2433.27 hectares of collective cultivated land and 178 hectares of commune member owned land were cultivated. The whole commune is mainly composed of paddy fields and few dry lands.
According to the soil survey in 2010, there are 2578.8 hectares of cultivated land in the whole town, of which 25.47 hectares are green soil, accounting for 1.02% of the total area. It is distributed in Jiayi, Jiadian, maojiajiao, Shanqian, qianjiajing and other villages. Qingzi soil is 141.54 hectares, accounting for 5.6% of the total area. It is also distributed in Jiayi, Jiadian, maojiajiao, Shanqian and qianjiajing villages. Qingzitu is 681.73 hectares, accounting for 27.42% of the total area. It is distributed in all villages except Xinfeng, Xuyuan and Yaolian. Green loess soil is 1555.53 hectares, accounting for 64% of the total area. It is distributed in all villages of the town. The Yellow tide soil belongs to 46.6l ha, accounting for 1.87% of the total area. It is mainly distributed in Xinfeng, Xuyuan, Yaolian, Zhongxin and chonglian villages.

Chonggu town is rich in water resources, with sufficient surface and underground water sources. The water area of Chonggu town is 338.7 hectares, accounting for 9.7% of the total area. The water body is dominated by rivers and ditches, with an area of 207.2 hectares, accounting for 91.7% of the total water area. Yuangou and Zhaihe rivers are 13.2 hectares, accounting for 5.8% of the total water area. Ponds (intensive ponds) are 5.67 hectares, accounting for 2.5% of the total water area. In addition, there are 55 tributaries at the end of rivers and ditches, with a total water surface of about 4.2 hectares (included in the total water area of rivers and ditches).
