Jiading Street

Jiading street belongs to Jiading District of Shanghai. It is located in the northwest suburb of Jiading District. It is located in the northern edge of the north subtropical zone. Evolution of organizational system

Before the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, the Yangtze River Estuary formed an ancient coast, and human activities had taken place on the Bank of Lianqi River (now Ximen old street), until liangtianjian (502-519) formed a settlement. Jiading town was called Lianqi city in ancient times and got its name from Lianqi river. When the county was established, it belonged to Chunshen township. it was renamed Zhouqiao city in Zhengde period of Ming Dynasty. Jiading ancient town in Tang Dynasty was named Lianqi city because of Lianqi river. Jiading County was established on the ninth day of December in the tenth year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty (January 7, 1218), named Jiading according to the year number. During the period from Wanli of Ming Dynasty to Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, it was called Lianqi city again, belonging to trustworthy township. After Jiaqing of Qing Dynasty, Jiading town was governed by factories, and Lianqi city was called city or county. In 1914, it was renamed city. In 1928, it was renamed Jiading city. The county is named after Jiading, with municipal and township administrative bureau and Jiading Municipal Bureau in the city. In the 35th year of the Republic of China (1946), it was called Chengzhen, and the next year it was renamed Wancheng. In 1949, it was renamed Chengxiang District. It was changed into Chengxiang town in 1956. in September 2000, Jiading town was removed from the town and its streets were built.
