Liaochang township is located in the northern edge of Mingshan District, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, 93 km away from Chengdu in the East, 43 km away from Ya'an in the west, Ganxi town of Pujiang County in the East, Heizhu town in the south, Baizhang town and Zhongfeng town in the west, and Jiaguan town and Linji town of Qionglai city in the north. It covers an area of 24.43 square kilometers.
