Jinding Street

Jinding street is under the jurisdiction of Shijingshan District, Beijing. It is located in the middle of the District, with Apple Garden Street in the East, Guangning street in the west, Gucheng street in the South and wulituo street in the north. By the end of 2006, it had an area of 7.3 square kilometers and a permanent population of 75736 (in 2010). It governs 16 communities. The office is located in Nanli. Jingmen (Tougou) highway transit. It was established in 1954, changed to Jinding Street resident production brigade in 1958, and re established in 1963. In 1996, it covers an area of 6.7 square kilometers and has a population of 70000. The origin of the name

Jinding street is located in the west of Shijingshan District. Jinding East Street in the East, Jinding West Street in the west, Jinding Street South Road in the South and Panlongshan in the north. The place is named after Jinding mountain in the East.

Community activities

Most of Dingjie area is the residence of Shougang residents, which was built in the 1950s. In the north of the area, there is Chengen temple built in 1510. The layout of the temple is unique, with four stone towers connected with the basement and tunnel, which is unique in Beijing. It is said that Liu Jin, a famous eunuch of the Ming Dynasty, built this temple to act as a rebel. Although this theory is not well-known, its military destination is obvious according to the architectural pattern of the temple. Chengen temple was designated as a municipal cultural relics protection unit in 1990.

Chengen Temple

Chengen temple, an ancient temple with a history of more than 1700 years, was built in the Sui Dynasty. It is said that it was the place where Princess Yang lived in seclusion to cure diseases. During the Ming Dynasty, the main hall, bell and Drum Tower, Pilu Buddha, Maitreya stone Buddha and Wanjin bronze bell were built. According to the brief history of Xiangfan, in order to repay his uncle, Yingzong repaired the temple during the Tianshun period, changing its mountain to "Yongle mountain" and its temple to "dachengen Temple", hence the name of Chengen temple. Beside the temple, there are golden mountain, Lion Peak, jade stele, woniuchi, qingsiquan, Yudai water, suofengqiao, wanjinzhong, etc., which are known as the eight sceneries. The construction of carved beams and painted buildings is magnificent. With rich vegetation, no mountains, no green, and excellent geomantic omen, this place is known as a treasure land for accumulating wind and practicing Qigong. Many domestic Qigong research conferences are held here. The main landscapes are wuduolian mountain, Xiangxian King's tomb, Suozhou, Gongzhufen, Lingquan, etc.

In front of the main hall of Chengen temple, there are two bell towers and one drum tower. Unfortunately, the drum tower has been destroyed. On the remaining clock tower, there is a bronze bell about eight feet high and weighing more than 10000 Jin. There is no textual research on which dynasty and which generation it is. However, the weight of ten thousand jin decorated with Sanskrit hung on the bamboo shoots, which made people wonder. When the moon is white and the wind is clear, and the light is early in the morning, monks go to the temple to chant scriptures, and they will strike the bell to chant. The sound of the bell is melodious, and it can be heard for tens of miles. The sound of the bell is like galloping horses and roaring lions.

Jindingshan

According to relevant records, in the early Qing Dynasty, Prince Li was buried in Chongan and Yongen. Its tomb is a shaft hanging burial, which is called "Jinjing royal burial", and its name is changed from Langshan to jinjingshan, which is later homonymous with Jindingshan.
