Quyang Road Street

Quyang Road Street is located in the northeast of Hongkou District, Shanghai, with an area of 3.05 square kilometers, starting from Miyun Road and zoumatang in the East, Shajing port in the west, Dalian West Road in the south, Wenshui East Road and Handan road in the north. Population 102564 (2010). There are 24 neighborhood committees and 1809 neighborhood groups in the area. In 1997, Quyang became one of the first batch of civilized communities in Shanghai. In 2002, Quyang was designated as a national demonstration site for building civilized communities by the central civilization office and the Ministry of civil affairs.

On February 21, 1983, Comrade Deng Xiaoping, the chief designer of China's reform and opening up, came to Quyang Road Street, Hongkou District, northeast of Shanghai with steady steps to inspect the southwest community of Quyang new village. After visiting the families of the residents, Comrade Xiaoping said with relief: I'm glad that you live well. Party and state leaders also visited Quyang new village first and later, and placed great hopes on the construction and management of Quyang community.

In May 2020, it won the honorary title of "civilized community of Shanghai in 2018-2019".

On February 21, 1983, Comrade Deng Xiaoping inspected the southwest community of Quyang new village and said, "if you live well, I will be happy.". Quyang Road street was built in 1980 and renamed Quyang new village street in 1991. In 1993, it was merged with Yunguang new village street to build Quyang Road street. In 1997, it is located in the northeast of the central part of Hongkou District, with an area of 3.3 square kilometers, a population of 88000, and a jurisdiction over 31 neighborhood committees.
