Damin street is a rural street under the jurisdiction of Longsha District, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province. It is located in the south of Longsha District, adjacent to shuishiying Manchu town of Angangxi District in the East, angxi township of angxi District in the south, Nanhang street in the north, and meilidaour district across the river in the West. The street name originated from the name of Damintun, which was formed around 1585 (the 13th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty).

In the early Qing Dynasty, it was translated as damulutun (meaning "Jiang" in Daur), dameletun, mouletun, Damen Tun, Damei Tun and damelengtun. It was named today in 1932. Hualitun and gudiantun were formed in the middle of Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty (1756-1781) and were under the jurisdiction of the vice capital of Qiqihar. In the late Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of heishuiting and longjiangfu.

The People's Republic of China
After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was put under the jurisdiction of Longdong County in June 1946. In March 1948, Longdong county was abolished and Damin village returned to Longjiang County, under the jurisdiction of the 11th district. In July 1951, it was put under the jurisdiction of Qiqihar city and rural areas. In October 1954, it was transferred to yushutun district. In May 1956, the village was divided into townships and Damin township was set up. In December 1958, it was renamed Damin management area of Dongfeng people's commune. In August 1961, it was renamed Damin agricultural branch. In 1965, it was changed into Damin commune, which was under the jurisdiction of suburbs. In 1972, it was transferred to Longsha district. In January 1984, it was changed into Damin township. In September 1988, it was changed into Damin town. In 2001, Longsha township was abolished and its administrative village was incorporated into the jurisdiction of Damin town. The town governs 11 administrative villages, including Damin, Xiaomin, Huali, wufuma, Gudian, Yongguang, Sanhe, Xinguang, Guangrong, Aiguo and Mingxing. In 2002, the town governs six administrative villages, including Damin, wufuma, Sanhe, Xinguang, Aiguo and Mingxing. In 2004, Damin town was abolished, and its administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of urban sub district office. In 2012, Damin sub district office was established It has six community village committees, which work together with the Agriculture Bureau of Longsha district. In March 2016, Damin street was separated from the Agriculture Bureau of Longsha District, and the two units were still in the same office building.
