Shangyan Village
Shangyanzhuang Township, subordinate to Xingtang County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is located in the northwest of Xingtang County, adjacent to kouzhi town in the East, Chengzhai Township in the south, Lingshou County in the West and jiukouzi Township in the north, with an administrative area of 58.47 square kilometers.
During the Anti Japanese War, shangyanzhuang Township belonged to the oral District of Xingtang County; in 1962, Xingtang County was restored; in 1984, it was changed to shangyanzhuang township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Shang Yan township was 6556. As of June 2020, shangyanzhuang township has 15 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located at 207 Xinguang Road, shangyanzhuang village.
In 2011, shangyanzhuang Township achieved fiscal revenue of 8.72 million yuan, introduced 228 million yuan of foreign capital from the county, completed 413 million yuan of fixed assets investment from the whole society, including 370 million yuan of urban fixed assets investment and 43 million yuan of rural collective fixed assets investment. The per capita net income of farmers is 2505 yuan. In 2018, there were 6 industrial enterprises in shangyanzhuang Township, including 1 above scale and 12 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the Anti Japanese War, shangyanzhuang Township belonged to the oral District of Xingtang County.
In 1953, it belonged to six districts of Xingtang County, including shangyanzhuang Township, zhengkuchi Township and guajiayu township.
In 1952, the agricultural production mutual aid group was established.
In 1954, primary agricultural production cooperatives were established.
In 1956, a senior agricultural production cooperative was established.
In 1958, it was the administrative area of shangyanzhuang in oral commune; in the same year, Xingtang County was abolished and merged into Xinle county.
In 1961, 29 natural villages were separated from the west of kouzhou commune and shangyanzhuang commune was established.
In 1962, Xingtang County was restored to its original state.
In 1984, it was changed to shangyanzhuang township.

History and culture
Shangyan village was formerly known as Yanjia village. According to legend, the history of frequent floods, the low-lying area, easy to salt and alkali, so the name yanjiazhuang. Later, it was wrongly written as yanjiazhuang. In 1956, it was changed to shangyanzhuang. Shangyanzhuang township is named after the people's Government of shangyanzhuang.
