Bungalow town

Pingfang Town, belonging to Pingfang District of Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the southeast of Pingfang district. It borders Liming street of Xiangfang District and Xinli street of Acheng District in the East, Zhoujia town of Shuangcheng District in the south, Baoguo street of Pingfang District in the West and Chaoyang town of Xiangfang District in the north. In 2018, the area was 22.75 square kilometers, and the registered residence was 13229.

Qing Jiaqing 19 years (1814), is a Shuangcheng. In 1923, it was under the management of Xiangfang District of Harbin Municipal Office. In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), they moved to villages and merged with households. In the 27th year of the Republic of China (June 1938), the office of bungalow special zone was set up, with jurisdiction over three districts. In 1942, it was divided into 8 districts: bungalow, Xinfa, Chaoyang, dongjingzi, yaoerdaogou, houhada, zhenghuanger and zhenghuangsan. In 1946, Xiangfang District was set up as a cottage district. In November 1953, it was classified as bungalow district. In 1956, Pingfang township was set up; in March, it was assigned to Chaoyang District of Harbin city. In 1958, it belonged to the third farming area of Jinxing commune in Harbin. In 1960, a bungalow commune was established. In May 1963, it was assigned to Binjiang District in the suburb of Harbin. In August 1972, it returned to the bungalow area. In 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In September 1996, the township was transformed into a town.

In October 2019, Pingfang town governs six administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 123 industrial enterprises and 23 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Pingfang town.

It is the main surface water resource in Pingfang district and a small tributary of the middle reaches of Songhua River. It flows into Xiangfang District in the north of dongerdaogoutun, Pingfang village, with a length of about 6 kilometers and an average width of about 8 meters. The seasonal variation of water level is large, with the highest water depth of 2 meters and the lowest water depth of about 0.8 meters. The discharge in dry season is 10 m3 / s, the maximum discharge in wet season is 110 m3 / s, and the average discharge is 60 m3 / s.
