Chongshan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Helong City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin City, is located in the south of Helong City, on the left bank of the upper reaches of Tumen River. It borders Nanping Town in the East, Tumen River in the south, Erdaobaihe town in Antu County in the west, and Longcheng town in the north, with an administrative area of 616.18 square kilometers.
In August 1933, Chongshan society was set up, belonging to the puppet Helong County Office; in November 1992, Chongshan township was transformed into a town. By the end of 2018, 3031 households in the town of Chong Shan had registered residence. As of June 2020, Chongshan town has one community and four administrative villages.
In 2011, Chongshan town's total financial revenue was 29 million yuan, an increase of 8% over the previous year. The per capita fiscal revenue was 8700 yuan, an increase of 11% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers is 5562 yuan. In 2018, Chongshan town has 2 industrial enterprises and 12 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In August 1933, Chongshan society was set up, belonging to the puppet Helong County Office.
In July 1940, Chongshan village was changed.
In September 1949, Chongshan district was changed.
In July 1950, it was renamed District 6.
In July 1955, it was renamed Chongshan district.
In March 1956, Chongshan township was established.
In August 1958, Shiren village was merged into Chongshan commune in September of the same year.
In July 1983, Chongshan commune was transformed into a township.
In November 1992, Chongshan township was transformed into a town.
In December 2003, Zhulin, Xingnan and Lishu villages in Nanping town were included.

When the yueken Bureau was set up in 1885, Chongshan area was called Chonghua society and Shanhua society. In 1933, the two societies merged, each with the word "Chong" and the word "Shan", collectively known as "Chong Shan".

Hongqi River National Water Conservancy Scenic Spot is located at the confluence of Hongqi River and Tumen River, 0.8 km west of the ancient town of Chongshan, Helong city.
Guchuli port, which was approved as a national first-class port in 2007, is opposite the sanchangli port set up by North Korea. The "first bridge of Tumen River" connecting the two sides is the border bridge leading to the logistics of Liangjiang road and North Xianjing road in North Korea.
