Lugang town

Lugang Town, subordinate to Fengqiu County, Xinxiang City, Henan Province, is located 9 kilometers east of Fengqiu County, adjacent to Chengguan Township in the west, Sizhuang Township and Chenqiao Township in the south, Caogang Township and Pandian Township in the East, and Fengcun Township in the north, with a total area of 53.3 square kilometers. As of June 2020, there are 10430 households and 43810 people in Lugang town.

Before the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), Lugang town belonged to Xiangfu county and Quhe County in the same year. In 1947, Quhe county and Fengqiu County merged into the Fourth District of Fengqiu County. In 1958, Lugang people's commune was established. In 1983, the commune was changed into a township. In 2014, the township was withdrawn to build a town.

In 2019, the GDP will reach 382 million yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 8.5%. The disposable income of rural residents will reach 9344 yuan, and that of urban residents will reach 14297 yuan.

Historical evolution

Before 1947, Lugang town belonged to Xiangfu county.

In 1947, it belonged to Quhe county. In the same year, Quhe and Fengqiu counties merged, and Lugang town was the Fourth District of Fengqiu County.

After liberation in 1949, Lugang village was the seat of the Fourth District Office of Fengqiu County.

In August 1958, Lugang people's commune was established.

In 1969, the southwest of Lugang town was assigned to Sizhuang people's commune.

In 1975, the south of Lugang town was transferred to Chenqiao commune.

In 1983, it was changed to Lugang township.

In 2014, Lugang township was removed and Lugang town was built.

The West and north of Lugang town are close to the old course of the Yellow River. There are a series of Southwest northeast dunes, covering an area of about 8600 mu. In the 1960s, afforestation was carried out, and it has become a forestry area. At present, it has become a forestry area, and the rest of the area is flat. Most of the soil is green sandy land, and there is a small amount of saline alkali land in the southeast. The natural seven branch canals run through the central part from west to East, and the groundwater depth is about 2 meters.

In 1984, the total sown area of crops in Lugang town was 78676 mu, including 56506 mu of grain crops with a total yield of 13.215 million kg, 234 kg per mu, 18765 mu of cotton with a total yield of 1.0366 million kg, 1341 mu of oil with a total yield of 134300 kg, and a total agricultural income of 12.9815 million yuan, 455.2 yuan per capita. The effective irrigation area is 35400 mu, and the stable and high yield field is 23860 mu. In 1985, the rural agricultural income was 8.4815 million yuan, accounting for 60.3% of the total income. At the end of the year, it has 9418 horsepower of agricultural machinery. There are 4007 livestock, 45888 live pigs and 2157 sheep.

Lugang Town, in cooperation with the Forestry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced new varieties of raspberry to extend the picking period. The road of raspberry resource garden was paved and repaired with an investment of 100000 yuan, and the sightseeing ring road of raspberry plantation was built.

In 2020, the modern agricultural tourism of Lugang town will focus on the raspberry picking base in zhouluowen village, the succulent plant planting base in Yufeng, and the soft seed pomegranate planting base in wenzixiang village. Relying on the existing characteristics of agricultural product picking, flower viewing, leisure and entertainment, the "sightseeing agriculture" system will be built in the whole town. Relying on Dagong Lake project, Huangzhai Village Forest Park has been developed, and it has become an ecological sightseeing park integrating leisure, vacation, party and entertainment experience.

Transportation

There is provincial highway s227 in Lugang Town, which runs through the whole area and forms a highway network extending in all directions with Fengyin and Qichen highways.

By July 2020, g327 national highway, Lanyuan expressway, s227 widening and reconstruction and other large road projects are under construction.

As of 1984, there was a high school in Lugang town with 290 students in six classes. High school factories produce teaching instrument microscopes with high precision, which are sold in and out of the province. There are four junior middle schools with 22 classes and 880 students; 27 primary schools with 130 classes and 3920 students; and 221 teaching staff.

medical and health work

As of 1984, there was a township people's hospital with 20 medical staff in Lugang Town, and 25 village run medical centers with 57 medical staff.

New rural construction

In 2019, Lugang town won the beautiful rural construction project, investing more than 8 million yuan to improve the quality of the town. We have carried out the whole area greening, planting more than 50000 seedlings such as Osmanthus fragrans, Ligustrum lucidum and Photinia Fraxinus. We have strived for 800000 yuan to plant seedlings such as Sophora japonica and Ligustrum lucidum in eight poor villages. We have strived for 1.2 million yuan for Huahai Fengqiu project, greening the bridgeheads of Qizhi, qizhierdou and qizhisandou in the area under our jurisdiction, and building small towns in Yufeng succulent plants, Donghuang village, Yingcun and Guanzhuang village Garden tour highlights the greening effect.
