Chaoyangchuan Town, belonging to Yanji City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, is located in the west of Yanji City, bordering Xiaoying town in the East, dongshengyong town in Longjing City in the south, laoergou town in Longjing City in the West and Yilan town in the north, with an administrative area of 376.87 square kilometers.
In 1930, it belonged to Chaoyangchuan Township, the Second District of Yanji County; in November 1964, Chaoyang commune established Chaoyangchuan town; in September 2001, Taiyang town and Badao town were assigned to Chaoyangchuan town; in March 2009, Chaoyangchuan town was assigned to Yanji city. By the end of 2018, Chaoyang town had 46323 registered residence. As of June 2020, Chaoyang town has 5 communities and 20 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total revenue of Chaoyang town was 46.41 million yuan, an increase of 30.3% over the previous year. The local fiscal revenue was 31.93 million yuan, an increase of 35.8% over the previous year. History of construction
In the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930), it belonged to Chaoyang Chuan Township, the Second District of Yanji county.
In 1934, it belonged to Chaoyang village, Yanji county.
In November 1945, it belonged to Chaoyang District of Yanji county.
In February 1956, it was changed into Chaoyangchuan town.
In April 1958, it was merged into Chaoyang township.
In September 1958, the Township Reform commune was established.
In November 1964, Chaoyang commune set up Chaoyangchuan town.
In September 2001, Taiyang town and Badao town were assigned to Chaoyangchuan town.
In March 2009, Chaoyang town was transferred from Longjing City to Yanji city.

There are mountains in the South and north of Chaoyangchuan Town, and Yanji Chaoyangchuan basin in the middle. The town is located on the South Bank of burhatong River, 196-209 meters above sea level. The terrain is flat and slightly inclined from southwest to northeast.

The rivers in Chaoyangchuan town belong to Tumen River system. Buerhatong river flows through the town from west to East, Chaoyang river flows into Buerhatong River from north to south, Dexin River and Nangou river flows into Buerhatong River from south to north. History and culture
In the early years of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, there were so many clams in the area that it was named zhenzhuying. In 1913, it was renamed chuanshuihai because of its numerous rivers and shuipaozi. Later, because of Chaoyang, a flat River, also known as Chaoyang Chuan. In 1923, due to the opening of the Tiantu small railway, a station was set up here, officially known as Chaoyang river.
