Panlong town
Panlong town belongs to Baota District, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the north of Baota District, adjacent to Yongping town of Yanchuan County in the East, Qinghuabian town in the south, Liangcun town in the West and yujiaping town of Zichang County in the north. The maximum distance between the East and the west is 24 kilometers, and the maximum distance between the north and the south is 24 kilometers, with a total area of 263.58 square kilometers.
There are two patriotic education bases in Panlong Town, such as the martyrs' cemetery of Panlong campaign. One jiajiahe site is a provincial cultural relic protection unit.
As of June 2020, Panlong town has one community and 36 administrative villages. As of 2018, the population of Panlong town registered residence was 24404. In 2011, the total output value of industrial commodities was 13.518 billion yuan, and the total output value of agricultural products was 13.518 billion yuan.
Historical evolution
In Song Dynasty, there was Panlong temple, also known as Panlong temple. The town is named after the temple.
According to the records of Shaanxi Tongzhi by Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty, the local area has become a town.
In 1937, the Soviet government of Northern Shaanxi Province moved to the town, and in the same year, Zichang County was transferred to Yan'an county.
In 1958, Panlong commune was established.
In 1984, it was changed into Panlong town.
In 2000, Xiaping township was abolished and merged into Panlong town.
In 2011, Panlong town abolished Guantun Township and merged into Panlong town.
