In September 1958, Yingcheng community was set up along Yingcheng street; in 1989, Yingcheng street was set up by Jiutai town. In 2011, Yingcheng street had a total population of 85424. As of June 2020, Yingcheng street has jurisdiction over three communities and two administrative villages.

In September 1958, the town commune was set up.
In April 1988, Yingcheng commune was incorporated into Jiutai town.
