History of construction
During the period of the Republic of China, jiulongdi Street belonged to Xiongyue District 3 of GAIPING county.
In May 1951, huayuanzi, Gujiazi and Nanyao villages in the territory belonged to Xiongyue District, and the rest to Xihai district.
In March 1956, two townships, Daying and xianghongqi, were set up in jiulongdi of Xihai district.
In October 1958, GAIPING County commune was established, and all villages in the territory were assigned to Jiuzhai brigade.
In the spring of 1961, Jiuzhai commune was divided into Jiuzhai commune, Guizhou commune and jiulongdi commune.
In 1983, the commune system was abolished and jiulongdi commune was changed to township.
In June 1984, jiulongdi township was renamed jiulongdi Manchu Township.
On January 23, 1991, jiulongdi Manchu Township was changed into jiulongdi town.
