Dawan Township

Dawan township is located in the east of Liupan, Ningxia, 41 kilometers away from Jingyuan County, 36 miles away from the urban area. The altitude is 2416 meters. It connects Liupanshan town in the south, Xinji Township and Gucheng town in Pengyang County in the East, Guanzhuang Township in Longde County in the West and Kaicheng town in Yuanzhou District in the north. The Township People's government is located in Dawan village. It crosses Liupanshan Mountain in the West and watingliang in the East. The central part is a wet hilly area.

In December 2017, it was named as the seventh batch of demonstration towns for national unity and progress.

It connects Shizilu town in the south, Xinji Township and Gucheng town in Pengyang County in the East, Dazhuang and Guanzhuang Township in Longde County in the west, and Kaicheng town in the north. In 2003, Dawan Township, Yuanzhou District, Guyuan city was under the jurisdiction of Jingyuan County. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south. The annual rainfall is about 600 mm. The frost free period is 90-100 days. Baozhong railway and Pingyin highway pass through the territory.

It governs Dawan village, Dongzhuang village, Hebao village, Liupan village, Lvyuan village, niuying village, Shangping village, Sigou village, Subao village, wating village, Wuping village, Yangling village and Zhongzhuang village.

economic development

The township is mainly agricultural, the main crops are wheat, foreign wheat, naked oats, buckwheat, potato, peas, flax and so on. The total economic income was 23.504 million yuan, including 14.243 million yuan for agriculture, accounting for 60.6%, and 1.8 million yuan for animal husbandry, accounting for 7.7%. Labor service is 5.518 million yuan, accounting for 33.4% of the per capita net income, while other services are 2.932 million yuan, accounting for 12.4%. The number of cattle, sheep and pigs reached 3380, 4988 and 3264 respectively. There are 365 township enterprises, including one township run enterprise and 364 private enterprises, with a total output value of 12.8 million yuan. There are 14 schools in the township, including 1 junior middle school with 740 students, 10 Five-Year primary schools, 2 junior primary schools, 1 teaching point and 2169 primary school students.
