Huangfengqiao town is adjacent to Baishi town in the East, Jiubujiang town in the southwest, Ao Township in Hunan Province in the West and Gaojian town in the north. On July 1, 2014, Youxian South Station of Jilin Hengshui railway was completed and opened to traffic. Huangfeng bridge was originally named Huangfeng bridge. According to the records of Baodu double bridges in Tongzhi edition of Youxian annals, Nanming bridge (Huangfeng bridge) is called Huangfeng bridge because of its shallow water and narrow bank. There are wooden dippers for Huangfeng bridge and stone pillars for wooden boards. Later generations use "Feng" instead of "Feng". Another story is that there was an arched stone slab bridge at the outlet of guanghuangyangtangpi in ancient times, which was called Huangfeng bridge because there were many maple trees in the area. Later, it was called Huangfeng bridge for the sake of abundant grain.

Since the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Huangfengqiao area has always been famous for its two surnames, Yan and he. When the two surnames moved in, their aim was to "fall at every bridge". At that time, they were not called Huangfeng bridge, but Nanming bridge. Therefore, the surname "Yan" was called "Nanming Yan" after it moved in from Jiangxi.
