Shuping town

Shuping Town, belonging to Yongdeng County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Yongdeng County, adjacent to Zhonghe and Jiuhe towns of Gaolan County in the East, Hekou town of Xigu District in the south, Kushui and Hongcheng towns in the west, and longquansi and Zhongchuan towns in the north. The area is 325 square kilometers. In 2018, 15491 people registered residence.

In 1957, Pingxiang was established. In 1971, it was renamed Shuping commune. In 1983, Shuping township was changed. In July 2002, the township was removed to build a town. In June 2020, Shuping town governs 8 administrative villages.

In 2018, Shuping town had 66 industrial enterprises, 4 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size, and 2 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In 1952, it belonged to Hongcheng District, hajiazui Township, Kushui district and shijiayatou township.

In 1957, Pingxiang was established.

In 1958, it was renamed Shuping commune and Xinghua commune in the same year.

In 1959, it was renamed Shuping commune.

In 1967, it was renamed Qianjin commune.

In 1971, it was renamed Shuping commune again.

In 1983, Shuping township was changed.

In July 2002, the township was removed to build a town.
