Huancheng Zhen is located in the middle of Qingpu. Qingpu County is named after the northwest ring. In 1962, Chengdong people's commune was established by Chengxiang people's commune. In 1980, it was renamed Huancheng people's commune. In 1984, it was changed to township. In 1995, it was withdrawn from township to town. The town borders Zhaoxiang town in the East, Sheshan and Tianmashan towns in Songjiang County in the south, Shenxiang and Zhujiajiao towns in the West and Xianghuaqiao town in the north. The town people's government is located in the east gate of Qingpu Town and has jurisdiction over 16 villagers' committees. It covers an area of 26.3 square kilometers and has a population of 17000. In agriculture, rape, cotton and rice are planted in winter and summer. The industry is famous for the production of SPC exchange.
