Changyingzi Mongolian town belongs to the eastern suburb of Fuxin City, Liaoning Province. It is located in the hilly area of western Liaoning Province. It is connected with Shala town of Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County in the East, Daba town and Osaka town of Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County in the southeast and south, Shuiquan town of Taiping District and Fuxin town of Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County in the southwest and West, and tabenzaran town of Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County in the north. The total area is 117.18 square kilometers.
In September 1958, red flag commune was established in Xinqiu district. In March 1961, Hongqi commune was renamed changyingzi commune. On April 1, 1964, changyingzi commune was renamed changyingzi Mongolian commune. In December 1984, changyingzi Mongolian commune was changed to township. On December 13, 1985, changyingzi Mongolian township was transformed into a town. On June 1, 2002, changyingzi Mongolian town was assigned to Xinqiu district and renamed changyingzi Mongolian town. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in the Mongolian town was 24803. As of June 2020, changyingzi Mongolian town has one community and nine administrative villages.
