Huangsha town
Huangsha Town, subordinate to Xiushui County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southeast hinterland of Xiushui county. It is adjacent to Huangao Township in the East, Huanggang town and Heshi town in the south, Zhengcun Township in the West and Yining town in the north. It covers an area of 211.72 square kilometers and governs one community and 12 administrative villages. In late 2018, there were 22 thousand and 700 registered residence population in Huang Sha town.

History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, the territory was divided into seven capitals of taixiang, twelve, thirteen and fourteen capitals of Anxiang, and fifteen capitals of Fengxiang.
During the period of the Republic of China, the territory was divided into Huangsha Township and biaoxi Township in the valley area.
In September 1949, it was divided into 10 townships, namely Pengqiao, Huangsha, Gaoli, Changxi, Laoya, Lichun, lingxie, Tangqiao, Xishan and Yaocun, which were subordinate to Huangsha district (three districts); in September 1956, it merged 4 townships, namely Pengqiao, Huangsha, Lichun and Tangqiao; in September 1958, it withdrew the townships and established two communes, namely Huangsha and Tangqiao; in March 1960, Tangqiao commune was incorporated into huangshagang reclamation farm; in January 1972, it was separated into Tangqiao Huangshaqiao commune; in June 1984, huangshaqiao commune and Tangqiao commune were abolished and huangshaqiao Township and Tangqiao Township were established; in March 1995, huangshaqiao township was removed and built into a town, known as huangshaqiao town; in January 1996, Tangqiao Township and huangshaqiao town were merged and renamed huangshaqiao town.
