Dongchuan town
Dongchuan Town, belonging to Menyuan Hui Autonomous County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the east of Menyuan County, bordering Xianmi Township in the East, Yintian Township across the river in the south, quankou town in the West and Sunan County in Gansu Province in the north, 24 kilometers away from Haomen town. The area is 452.24 square kilometers. In 2018, 21266 people registered residence.
In 1929, after Menyuan was established as a county, Dongchuan Township belonged to the first district. In 1938, it was Yongcui township. In 1949, it was Yongcui Township in three districts. In 1953, it is kongjiazhuang Township in three districts. In 1956, for the county under the jurisdiction of kongjiazhuang Township, later changed to GA Mu Nong township. In 1958, it became Dongfeng people's commune. In 1962, Dongchuan people's commune was established. In 1984, it was changed into Dongchuan township. On January 21, 2002, Dongchuan Township and Ketu Township were formally merged into Dongchuan town. As of October 2019, Dongchuan town has one community and 12 administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 6 industrial enterprises in Dongchuan town and 79 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
