Jiangcun Town, which belongs to Fuyi District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southwest of Fuyi district and the north foot of Qinling Mountains. It borders Yuchan street in the East and Southeast, Shijing town in the South and southwest, Jiufeng town in Zhouzhi County in the West and northwest, and Zuan town in the north and northeast, with a total area of 131.46 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Jiangcun town has 22 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. In 2018, the registered residence of Chiang Cun was 39863. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Jiangcun town reached 280 million yuan, and the total industrial output value reached 2.16 billion yuan.
On January 8, 2021, the people's Government of Fuyi District of Xi'an city agreed to cancel Jiangcun town and set up Jiangcun street.
Historical evolution
The origin of place names
It was originally named Jiangxia village after the surnames of Jiang and Xia, but it was changed to Jiangcun in the late Ming Dynasty. It got its name because the town government was stationed in Jiang village.
History of construction
In 1949, Jiangcun township was established under the jurisdiction of Zhouzhi County.
In 1958, it was transferred to Huxian county and Jiangcun commune was established.
In 1984, Jiang village was restored.
In 1995, Jiangcun town was established after the township was removed.
In 2002, it merged with Baimiao township to establish Jiangcun town.

Jiangcun town is located at the junction of Qinling mountain area and Guanzhong Plain. Its terrain is high in the South and low in the north, high in the West and low in the East. Shouyang mountain, the highest peak, is located in the southwest of the town, with an altitude of 2720 meters; Hong'an village, the lowest point, is located in the lower reaches of Gan River, with an altitude of 500 meters.
