In 1961, part of Nantun people's commune was set up to build Bayantala people's commune; in 1984, Bayantala people's commune was abolished and Bayantala Daur ethnic township was established. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Bayan's TA ladur nationality township was 2520. As of June 2020, bayantaladaor ethnic village has jurisdiction over one community and six administrative villages.
