Xiaowengong Township
Xiaowengong Township in Darhan maoming'an United banner, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia, was returned to the seventh district of Tumet banner when it was liberated. It was transferred to Damao Banner in 1954, and xiaowengong commune was established in 1958. In 1962, it was divided into xiaowengong commune and xiyingpan commune. In 1984, it was changed to township.
General situation
Xiaowengong Township in Darhan maoming'an United banner, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia, was returned to the seventh district of Tumet banner when it was liberated. It was transferred to Damao Banner in 1954, and xiaowengong commune was established in 1958. In 1962, it was divided into xiaowengong commune and xiyingpan commune. In 1984, it was changed to township. In 2002, during the structural reform of Sumu Township, xiaowengong and xiyingpan merged to form a new xiaowengong township. In 2006, the township was merged into Shibao town. In 2012, the system of xiaowengong township was restored. The township government is located in xiyingpan, which governs the former xiaowengong, xiyingpan and Dasuji villages.

The geographical shape is like the Arabic numeral "7". It is adjacent to Shibao town in the west, darhansumu in the north, Siziwang Banner in the East, Wuchuan County in the south, and baoxilamuren town in the West. It is located at the junction of Hu, Bao and Wu cities. The landform is mainly composed of hills and rocks, with a small number of beaches, rivers and valleys. There are two seasonal rivers in the territory, which flow into the tabu River from west to East and flow into Siziwang. The annual precipitation is 293 mm, which is higher than the average value of the whole banner; the annual evaporation is 2360 mm, which is lower than the average value of the whole banner; the frost free period is about 100 days, which is relatively suitable for agriculture. The total area of cultivated land in the township is 163000 mu, including 128000 mu of dry land, 35000 mu of irrigated land and 34165 mu of returned farmland.
