Desheng Town
Desheng Town, subordinate to Lichuan County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southeast of Lichuan County. It borders Shaowu City and Taining County in Fujian Province in the East, Jianning County in Fujian Province in the south, Hongcun town and sheping Township in the west, and RiFeng Town, Xiongcun town and Tanxi Township in the north. The town covers an area of 158.09 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 2 communities, 5 administrative villages and 84 village groups. In late 2018, the population of Desheng Town had 18 thousand and 500 registered residence.

History of construction
In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was located in Dongshan, the Sixth District of Lichuan County; in August 1956, it was withdrawn from the district and merged with the township, and set up Desheng Township and Dongshan Township; in 1957, it was restored to the District, and was still located in Dongshan, the Sixth District of Lichuan County; in September 1958, it set up Dongshan commune, Desheng commune and deshengguan reclamation farm; in 1991, the state-owned deshengguan comprehensive reclamation farm of Jiangxi Province was renamed Jiangxi Desheng enterprise group On November 5, 1999, the Jiangxi provincial Party committee and government decided that the Desheng enterprise group was established and put under the jurisdiction of Lichuan County; in March 2001, it was approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of civil affairs to withdraw the site and build a town; on August 19, 2004, the Desheng Town Government was officially established.

Location context
Desheng Town is located in the southeast of Lichuan County, bordering Shaowu City and Taining County in Fujian Province in the East, Jianning County in Fujian Province in the south, Hongcun town and sheping Township in the west, and RiFeng Town, Xiongcun town and Tanxi Township in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 14 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 18 kilometers, with a total area of 158.09 square kilometers.

Desheng Town is located in the West foot of the middle section of Wuyi Mountains, with high terrain in the southeast and low terrain in the northwest. The mountains tend to be north-south. The average altitude of the southeast mountain is more than 500 meters, the highest peak is yangshanling, 1513 meters above sea level, and the lowest is Liming Village Committee, 143 meters above sea level.

Desheng Town has a subtropical humid climate with mild climate and abundant rainfall. The annual average temperature is 17.27 ℃, the extreme minimum temperature is - 7.5 ℃, and the maximum temperature is 41.6 ℃. The average annual rainfall is 2016 mm, and the minimum extreme annual rainfall is 920 mm. The rainfall is concentrated from April to August every year.

There are 32 streams and streams in Desheng Town, with annual runoff of 197.6 million cubic meters. Lianhe peak is the main birthplace of Litan River and Long'an River in Lichuan County.

History and culture
Desheng, also known as deshengguan, was called "Guan" before the middle of Ming Dynasty. At the end of Ming Dynasty, because the local Yuan people were dissatisfied with the imperial court, they gathered together to revolt. The imperial court sent Wang Xun, the magistrate of the imperial court, to suppress and win, so it was renamed deshengguan.
Desheng, one of the revolutionary bases in Fujian Jiangxi Soviet Area, was the famous main battlefield of Tuan Village Campaign in the fifth anti encirclement and suppression campaign of the Chinese workers and peasants army in December 1933.
Honorary title
On July 29, 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Desheng Town as a national health township for the period of 2017-2019.
