Longzhen
Longzhen is subordinate to Mizhi County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the west of Mizhi County, it is adjacent to Yuyang District in the East and North, Zizhou county and dujiashigou town in the south, and guoxingzhuang town in the West. The total area is 136.65 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Longzhen has 28 administrative villages. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of dragon town was 23792. Historical evolution
Because there is a cliff shaped like longer in the territory, it was originally named longer cliff. Later, it was named Longzhen because of the trading of coal production.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was under the jurisdiction of Shuangquan Erli.
In 1928, it belonged to the Fifth District.
From 1942 to 1944, it belongs to Longzhen district.
In 1950, there were 8 districts and 51 townships, belonging to Longzhen district.
In March 1956, it belongs to dujiashigou district.
Longzhen commune was established in 1958.
In September 1966, it was renamed Hongwei commune.
In 1973, it was renamed Longzhen commune.
In July 1984, it was renamed Longzhen.
In December 2001, 18 villages including huijialaozhuang, aijialong and Zhongshan Mao under guojiabian Township were merged into Longzhen town.
In June 2011, it was renamed Longzhen.
