Ping'an Township

Ping'an township is under the jurisdiction of Ning'an city. Located in the middle of the county. Ningan township government is 20 kilometers away from the county seat. In Pingan Township, there were settlements in the early Qing Dynasty, formerly known as "qijianfang" (now Fengchan Village).

During the period of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Xiang Wangxiang, Ning'an county. After the fall of Northeast China, qijianfang village was set up in 1939. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was initially attached to the second autonomous region, and was assigned to the fourth region in August 1948. In May 1956, Pingan township was set up instead of regionalized township. In September 1958, he joined Shiyan people's commune. In November 1962, it was set up from Shiyan commune. In April 1984, it was changed into Ping'an Township and merged into Shiyan town in 2001.

Ping'an township is located on both sides of Mudanjiang River, with the West Bank of Mangang district and the East Bank of alluvial plain. The total area of the township is 80.4 square kilometers, with 58000 mu of arable land. In 1992, the total output value of township enterprises was 12.82 million yuan. The township governs 13 villages including Ping'an, Fengchan, Tuanjie, friendship, Heping, nanmudan, Donghua, Jianshe, Lizhi, paradise, Min'an, Nangou and Dalan banner. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 9359, of which Manchu, Korean and other ethnic minorities accounted for about 26%. The township government is located in Ping'an Village.
