Xiaoheihe town is under the jurisdiction of Yuquan District, Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region; xiaoheihe town is located in the southwest of Yuquan District, adjacent to Erdos road street, xicaiyuan street, Zhaojun road street and xibaga township of Saihan District in the East, Baimiaozi town of tumetzuo banner in the south, taigemu town and Baimiaozi town of tumetzuo banner in the west, and youban town of Huimin District in the north. The total area is 124.69 square kilometers. As of June 2020, xiaoheihe town has jurisdiction over 5 communities and 29 administrative villages. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Xiao hehe town was 27617.

In November 1973, 8 production teams were set up from daheihe dairy farm and 6 production teams were set up from xicaiyuan commune, which belongs to the suburb of Hohhot. In 1977, gouziban village was designated as xicaiyuan commune. In July 1984, xiaoheihe commune was transformed into a township. In July 1999, it was assigned to Yuquan District. In 2001, xiaoheihe township was transformed into a town. In January 2007, the township was withdrawn and merged with the original Taohua township.

In 2018, there were 16 industrial enterprises in xiaoheihe town and 83 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In November 1973, 8 production teams were set up from daheihe dairy farm and 6 production teams were set up from xicaiyuan commune, which belongs to the suburb of Hohhot.

In 1977, gouziban village was assigned to xicaiyuan commune, which has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages.

In July 1984, xiaoheihe commune was transformed into a township.

In July 1999, it was assigned to Yuquan District.

In 2001, the township of xiaoheihe was transformed into a town, and the five administrative villages of the former xicaiyuan Township, namely nanyingzi, xiwayao, gouziban, xiaoheihe and dakulun, and Luoyan neighborhood committee were designated.

In January 2007, the township was withdrawn and merged with the original Taohua township. At the same time, gouziban and xiaoheihe administrative villages and Luoyan community were incorporated into the newly established Zhaojun road street.
