Longshan Town belongs to Cixi City, Zhejiang Province. Historical evolution
In ancient times, because there is Fulong mountain in the territory, it is named "Longshan".
In Song Dynasty, it belonged to lingxu township of Dinghai county.
In 1387, the city of Longshan Suo was built.
In 1556, Qi Jiguang, a general of Ning shaotai, was stationed in his city.
The Qing Dynasty still belonged to lingxu Township and was subordinate to Zhenhai county (originally Dinghai county).
In 1946, it was changed to Longshan Town, and in June 1950, Longshan district was established.
In October 1954, it was transferred to Cixi County; in October 1958, Dongfanghong (Longshan) people's commune was established.
In November 1961, it was restored to Longshan district; in March 1969, it was merged with Guancheng district to establish Longguan district.
In January 1971, Longguan district was abolished and restored to Longshan district.
In May 1992, it was divided into Longshan Town, Tianyang Township and Fanshi town; in February 1994, Tianyang township was changed into Sanbei town.
In July 2008, Longshan Town, Sanbei Town, Fanshi town and CiDong industrial zone were merged to form Longshan Town, which is under the jurisdiction of Cixi City.
