Dongwai Street

Dongwai sub District Office (hereinafter referred to as the office) is located in Zhanggong District, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. It was separated from nanwai sub district office in February 1999. It is located in the southeast of Zhanggong District, adjacent to Shahe Town in the East, bounded by Zhangjiang in the south, Yingjiao Shanglu in the West and Hongqi Avenue in the north. With a total area of about 5.8 square kilometers and a population of 78086 (in 2010), it has jurisdiction over seven community neighborhood committees in wulonggang, guandaoping, Dongwai, zhangjiawei, Niuling, yingjiaoshang and Dukou Road, and one administrative village in Baiyun Village, with 97 enterprises and institutions.

Historical evolution

On August 5, 1998, Dongwai sub district office was set up from nanwai sub district office. It gets its name from the east of the old city. In 2003, it was adjusted to the current division.
