Xihe Street
Xihe town is located in the east of Chengdu downtown and the north of Longquanyi District. It is a Hakka inhabited area. It is one of the five traditional Dongshan towns in Chengdu (Shibantan, Baohe Township, Longtan Temple, Xihe Town, Luodai town). In history, there are many cultural buildings such as Yaowang temple, Diaozhong temple, Shuanglin temple, Xianglu mountain, etc. It is 2km away from the ring expressway and 4.5km away from the third ring road. The ring expressway, cheng'an-yu expressway, cheng'nan expressway, east-west axis and Cheng Luo Road cross the area, and the East extension of Metro Line 4 goes directly to Xihe. Centering on the development orientation of "Trade Expo City and ecological livable city", Chengdu will accelerate the construction of Sino French New Town, which is a national key town, a national pilot town of development and reform, a pilot town of "hundred towns construction" in Sichuan Province, and an industrial zone of Sino French ecological Park. Hakka culture
Xihe street in Longquanyi District is a rare city with Hakka as the main body in Chengdu. When the "Hakka" immigrants came to Sichuan, because the fertile soil in Pingba was mostly occupied, and because they were familiar with the production and life in mountainous areas, they mostly lived in shallow hills or mountainous areas, forming Hakka inhabited areas. There are Hakkas in the streets, towns and townships. More than half of them are Damian street, Luodai Town, Baihe Town, Tong'an street, Xihe town and Shiling street.

In 2019, the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee for comprehensive rule of law and the Sichuan Provincial Department of Justice announced the second batch of provincial demonstration counties (cities and districts), towns (streets) and institutions (units) of rule of law in Sichuan Province. There are 10 local towns in Chengdu. Among them, Xihe town was named as "the second batch of provincial demonstration towns of rule of law in Sichuan Province", which is the only street town on the list in Longquanyi District of Chengdu.
Huanglian village, a provincial Sihao Village
In 2019, the general office of the provincial Party committee and the general office of the provincial government issued the circular on naming 2000 villages including Baoshi village in Longquanyi District of Chengdu as "four good villages" at the provincial level, and Huanglian village in Xihe town was on the list.
History of Xihe River
1815: Xihe District belongs to the late Qing Dynasty, where local autonomy was tried out and towns were set up, which is the beginning of the establishment of Xihe town.
1911: Xihe town belongs to the eighth District of Huayang County, and xihechang is the residence of the district office.
In 1935, Huayang county was divided into urban area and Chengdu City, with four rural areas and Xihe township as the first district.
1952: part of Xihe township was set up as Qinglong Township, and the newly established Xihe Township governs xihechang and 10 villages.
1960: the State Council approved the establishment of Longquanyi District in Jianyang County, Xihe commune was included in the newly established Longquanyi District, Xihe district began to belong to Longquanyi District.
1984: according to the constitution, the people's commune was abolished and Xihe Township People's government was established.
1985: Xihe township was abolished and Xihe town was established. By 1988, Xihe town had 9 villages and 107 groups under its jurisdiction. 1 residents committee.
2004: most of Xiping town was merged into Xihe town to establish a new Xihe town.
December 2019: with the approval of the provincial government, Xihe town will be abolished and Xihe Street will be established. The administrative area of Xihe Street will be the administrative area of Xihe Town, and Xihe Street office will be located at 3789 chengluo road.
