Wushengyi town

Wushengyi Town, belonging to Yongdeng County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, is located at the northernmost end of Yongdeng Zhuanglang River Valley, connecting Pingcheng and rural areas in the East, Zhongbao town and Tongyuan Township in the southeast, Minle Township in the west, and Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County in the northwest. The area is 469.31 square kilometers. In 2018, 34378 people registered residence.

In 1951, wushengyi and jinzui were established. In 1958, the township changed into a commune. In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In 1986, wushengyi township was transformed into a town. In June 2020, wushengyi town governs one community and 23 administrative villages.

In 2018, wushengyi town had 71 industrial enterprises, 2 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size, and 41 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In the fifth year of Hongwu (1372) of Ming Dynasty, Feng Sheng went to the West. He won a great victory here and named it wusheng. He built a fort and set up a post called wusheng post, which was under the jurisdiction of Zhuanglang Wei.

In 1951, wushengyi and jinzui were established.
