Bajiazi town belongs to Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County, Liaoning Province. Bajiazi town is 39 kilometers north of the county. Its total area is 186 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of eight family towns was 13109.
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), Bajiazi town got its name because eight families first settled here. In 1961, Bajiazi commune was established, and the residence of the commune was moved from Kechou to Bajiazi village. In 1984, Bajiazi commune was transformed into a township. In May 2011, the township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Bajiazi town has a total of 8 administrative villages.
In 2018, Bajiazi town has 7 industrial enterprises and 21 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In 1949, two districts were established after liberation, and the seat of the district government was Kechou village.
In 1961, Bajiazi commune was established, and the residence of the commune was moved from Kechou to Bajiazi village.
In 1984, Bajiazi commune was transformed into a township.
In May 2011, the township was transformed into a town.
