History of construction
Anjia town was first built in the early Tang Dynasty. Because the silk produced in Anjia town was a tribute to the imperial court, it was famous all over the world, so it was built at the foot of Jine mountain. In Song Dynasty, it was renamed as Eji town (now Eji Village). According to Yuanfeng jiuyuzhi, there are five towns in Yanting County, including Jiuxiang, Hedian, Baima, Dangqu, Linjiang and Eji. In the 12th year of Zhengtong reign of Yingzong in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1447), the E Xi Temple (city) was built. In ancient times, the temple was used as the city. In the first year of Longqing in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1567), it was expanded. At that time, exi city was not only a base for drawing and weaving silk, but also a trading place for silk, silk, cocoon and agricultural and sideline products.
Because of the exquisite workmanship and excellent quality of exi silk, its production scale is constantly expanding, and the trading place must also be expanded, but the jineshan area where exi is located is too small to meet the development situation. The local ethnic groups negotiated to build a new bazaar in Changxing Daping on the Bank of the Zijiang River, still named after exi city. In the second year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, anxichang was built. Many businessmen from both inside and outside the province came here to trade, most of them from Shaanxi. For a long time, they knew that the origin of the tribute to the Imperial Palace was indeed a land of fish and rice with beautiful mountains and rivers and prosperous market conditions. Many of them were sentimentally attached and settled down here. In the 10th year of the Republic of China, when the Zijiang River was dredged to the upper section of anjiachang, the freighter arrived at the southern suburb of Zitong County for the first time, and formed the ancient market of land and water wharf, which was renamed "anjiachang". Popular in the folk doggerel: land and water wharf four counties, get up early and leave late, the market is prosperous. Guests from all over the world come to settle down, and money flows into the treasure basin.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, anjiachang belonged to Anle township of Yanting County.
In the 25th year of the Republic of China, a joint insurance system was set up.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China, it pursued the "new county system" and abolished the joint insurance of settling down, belonging to Baizi township.
On May 1st of the 31st year of the Republic of China, the township was established and extended to the name of "an hometown", which was still established after liberation.
In 1951, the land reform was completed, and the democratic construction of government was carried out. Five villages were designated from Anjiang to build Taiping Township (now Jianhe township), two resident groups from one village to Dingyuan township of Zitong, Longmen Village of Shuanghe township of Santai County, and Yumin, Ziliu and Ziyan villages of Jiaotai township of Zitong county to Anjiang.
In 1955, the fifth village of an's hometown was designated as Baizi township.
In 1959, Anjia set up a Dashi brigade to form Xinqiao commune (now in Longxiang).
In 1981, the general survey of place names changed Taiping to Jianhe commune, which got its name because the river originated in Jiange county.
In 1984, the establishment of the commune was abolished and Anjiang was restored, belonging to Baizi district.
In 1992, Anjia town was established by merging Anjia and Jianhe townships.
In 1995, Jianhe was designated as Jianhe township.
In 2019, the township administrative division of Yanting County will be greatly adjusted. Anjia town and Jianhe town will be merged to set up exi Town, where anjiachang is located.
