Minzhu Town, an important town in Western Sichuan, is located in the northwest edge of Chengdu Plain, which belongs to Shifang City and was established in 1952. Now it is merged with Yunxi Town as shigu town.

Regional overview

The township borders Jiandi town in the north, Yunxi, Nanquan and Siping in the East, Yanjiang River in the South and Yinfeng across the river, and jiulinggang and Hongyan Township in Pengzhou City in the West. The total area is 25.62 square kilometers, with both plain and hilly areas. The eastern part is plain, accounting for about seven eighths of the total area. Yanjiang River, Banjiu River, Renmin canal and Hongyan branch canal crisscross the whole territory and flow southeast.
