Yuchuan town

Yuchuan town is located in the northeast of Wuxue City and the south foot of Dabie Mountain. It is a beautiful town in the economic circle of Wuxue City, known as "the back garden of Wuxue City". Known as the "East Gate of Wuxue", Yuchuan town covers an area of 202 square kilometers, with 45 villages, 1 community, 415 villager groups and a population of 70000 (in 2019). There are 51886.38 mu of cultivated land, 120000 mu of mountain forest and 1918 mu of water surface. It is not only a typical agricultural town, but also a civilized town in Huanggang City and a big town in the east of Wuxue City.

Historical evolution

In January 2001, the former Yuchuan town and Taiping Township were merged into a new Yuchuan town.

Yuchuan Village

Yuchuan village is located in the south of Yuchuan town. LiuJie highway passes through the village, about 2km away from HUANGHUANG expressway. The village has 15 villager groups, 670 households and a total population of 2860 people, with 2350 mu of cultivated land, 1000 mu of mountain forest and more than 1700 mu of water surface.

Ganshi Village

Ganshi village is located in the southwest corner of Yuchuan Town, at the end of xianrenba reservoir, adjacent to ganshannao village of Meichuan Town, and LiuJie highway passes through the village. The village has 19 villager groups, 620 households and a total population of 2648 people. The cultivated area is more than 1800 mu.

Yihu Villa

Yihu mountain villa is located in Yuchuan Town, Wuxue City, covering a total area of more than 800 mu, including water area of more than 100 mu. The new red tourism road leads directly to the mountain villa, and relies on the red tourism of Dabie Mountain and the surrounding Buddhist holy places and historical sites. The geographical environment here is superior. It is backed by Jingshan mountain and faces the open valley plain. The left side is connected with Jingzhu reservoir. It is rich in natural resources such as clear mountain, green forest, beautiful water, beautiful flowers, and bamboo. Kuangshan

Kuang mountain is located in Yuchuan town in the north of Wuxue City. In ancient times, Kuang mountain was as famous as Lushan Mountain. It is known as "Kuang mountain in the north of South Lu" and "Kuang mountain in the world". In order to avoid Zhao Kuangyin's taboo, Kuangshan was changed into "dawangshan" in Song Dynasty. Later, because of the war, the people took refuge in the mountain and became Taiping mountain. In order to promote the development of cultural tourism, Kuangshan's historical status has been restored. According to the research of experts and scholars, Wu Chengen often visited Kuangshan in his later years as Ji Shan (eight grade official) of King Jing's residence in Qizhou (today's Qichun) of Ming Dynasty, and wrote a novel Journey to the West based on the historical facts of Tang Xuanzang's learning from the West and the folk myths and legends in Kuangshan area.

Night rain in Longqiu

Longqiu temple is located near Ganshi embankment in Yuchuan town. The temple worships Fei jilongjun's idol. There is a dark spring under the God's seat. The stream is murmuring, listening quietly, like the sound of rain. So it's called "Longqiu night rain".
