Nanping Town, belonging to Nan'an District of Chongqing, is located in the west of Nan'an District. It is adjacent to Nanshan street in the East, Huaxi street in Banan District in the south, tongyuanju street in the west, haitangxi street and Nanping Street in the north. It is about 1 km away from the residence of Nan'an District People's government, with a total area of 10 square kilometers.

In the late Qing Dynasty, Nanping town was under the jurisdiction of Ba County; in January 1993, Nanping township was changed into Nanping town. As of June 2020, Nanping town has 10 communities under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is stationed at No. 7 Xiangshui road.

History of construction

In the late Qing Dynasty, it was subordinate to Baxian county.

In 1929, Chongqing was established as a city under the jurisdiction of Nanping town. In 1939, nanpingchang was divided into the 12th district of Chongqing.

In 1951, Nanping township was established.

In 1958, the township was withdrawn and designated as Nanping management area of Tushan commune.

In October 1961, Nanping commune was established.

In May 1983, Nanping commune was changed into Nanping township.

In January 1993, Nanping township was changed into Nanping town.
