Huancheng township is the name of five townships in China. They are Huancheng Township, Guazhou County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province; Huancheng Township, Xiping County, Henan Province; Huancheng Township, Wangkui County, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province; Huancheng Township, Yushu City, Jilin Province; Huancheng Township, Luoping County, Yunnan Province; Huancheng Township, Wancheng District, Nanyang City, Henan Province.
Jian Shao
Huancheng township is located in the northern suburb of Anxi County. It is connected with bulongji Township in the East, Xihu Township in the west, Guazhou Township and Nancha Township in the South and Liuyuan town in the north. The township is 72 km long from east to west and 36 km wide from north to south, covering an area of 2592 square kilometers. The township government was founded in 1955 and got its name because it surrounded the county in the East, North and West. The township has a cultivated land area of 36000 mu. It governs five administrative villages, including Zhonggou, Chengbei, Beigou, Sigong and Xiangyang, two Township run farms and 28 villager groups, with a total of 2455 households and 8500 people. There are five ethnic groups, including Han, Hui, Meng, Dongxiang and Yugu. National Highway 312 and 313 meet here to connect the four sides. Huancheng township is located in the oasis of the middle reaches of Shule River, with flat terrain and fertile soil. The township has 58000 mu of arable land suitable for agriculture and more than 100000 mu of natural grassland. Agriculture is mainly composed of wheat, cotton, cattle, sheep, melons and fruits. It is one of the commodity grain and cotton bases in the province, known as the "hometown of cotton" and "hometown of melons and fruits". The development of animal husbandry in Huancheng township has unique advantages. More than 100000 mu of natural grassland and nearly 10000 mu of artificial pasture have laid a solid foundation for animal husbandry. Sheep is famous for its delicious meat and long capillaries. Huancheng township is rich in mineral resources. The proven mineral resources include gold, silver, copper, iron, granite, marble and so on. The township has built two dressing and smelting plants of Hanshan gold mine and baidunzi gold mine, with an annual output of 54000 taels of gold, and has initially formed an industrial network of deep processing based on local resources.
