Important scenic spots
Located in Shuijing village, Baiyang Township, Lichuan City, the Dashuijing ancient building complex in Lichuan City is 45 km away from the urban area of Lichuan City in the South and 130 km away from Fengjie port in Chongqing in the northeast. The Lichuan Fengjie highway passes by the gate with convenient transportation. Dashui ancient building is a pearl with strong Tujia ethnic characteristics. It is also the largest, well protected and high artistic value ancient building in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Dashui well is composed of three parts: Li's ancestral hall, Li's manor and Li gaiwu residence in gaoyangtai.
Li's ancestral hall
Li's ancestral hall was built in 1846. There is a well on the east side of the front of the ancestral hall. The spring water is sweet and does not dry in the four seasons. Hence the name "big well". The front gate of Li's ancestral hall is inscribed with regular script "Li's ancestral hall". The main body of the ancestral hall has three halls and four chambers, with a construction area of more than 3800 square meters. The three halls are the activity centers for educating the people, offering sacrifices to their ancestors and discussing the affairs of the family. The surrounding walls of the ancestral hall are towering, with stone battlements rising gradually according to the mountain on the left, right and back. The walls are 6-7 meters high, 3 meters thick and 390 meters in total. They are all made of hemp stones. There are "Chengen gate" and "Wanghua gate" on the East and west sides respectively.
Li's Manor
Located 150 meters southwest of Li's ancestral hall, the manor covers an area of more than 4000 square meters, with 24 patios and 174 houses. The imitation stone plaque on the door of the court is as white as jade, with the four characters of "green lotus and beautiful shade" written on it - the host's climbing and protecting Li Bai as the ancestor, which shows the ideal of Li's poetry and calligraphy family. Coincidentally, there is no iron nail. All the wooden frames are used. The style of the building is quadrangle style. The whole building is well arranged with exquisite workmanship. There are "Miss building" and "embroidery building" at both ends of the manor. The manor is magnificent.
Li Gai Wu residence in gaoyangtai
Li gaiwu's house with high elevation means "high mountain and high end", and its architectural features are not inferior to Li's ancestral hall. in 2002, the State Council announced three parts of Li's ancestral hall, Li's manor and Li Gai's five houses as state-level cultural relics protection units, which have been listed as world cultural heritage declaration objects.
