Tuqiao town
Tuqiao Town, belonging to Rucheng County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, is named after the town government's residence in Tuqiao market. Located in the middle of Rucheng County, 5km away from the county seat, it is the junction of urban and rural areas, bordering haotou Township and Jiyi Township in the East, Luyang town and Nuanshui town in the west, Luyang town in the South and Nuanshui town in the north. The town has a total area of 139 square kilometers and a total population of 10437 (i2017).
In 1961, Tuqiao people's commune was set up. In 1984, Tuqiao township was established. In 1994, Tuqiao town was established. In 2015, the administrative division of Rucheng County was adjusted, and Yongfeng Township and Tuqiao town were merged to establish Tuqiao town. In April 2016, Tuqiao town governed 25 administrative villages and 3 community neighborhood committees.
In 2013, Tuqiao town achieved a GDP of 140.2634 million yuan, an increase of 10.64%. There are more than 80 ancient ancestral halls in Tuqiao Town, among which Jinshan ancient ancestral hall group and bajiaolou are listed as provincial cultural relics protection units in Hunan Province. Tuqiao town has zutian Qi opera and national intangible cultural heritage Dragon Dance (Rucheng fragrant fire dragon).
Ancient ancestral hall of Jinshan Village
There are six ancient ancestral halls in Jinshan Village, including the dunbentang (commonly known as ye's family temple) in the upper and lower Kan groups, which was first built in the first year of Hongzhi (1488) of Ming Dynasty, and was made up of chaomen and family temples, all of which are of brick and wood structure; the xuluntang (commonly known as Lu's family temple) in the upper lane, lower lane and lower Jie groups, also known as the famous family of Southern Chu, was built in the 33rd year of Wanli (1606) of Ming Dynasty In the poems of Lu's ancestors given by the emperor ye, the name comes from "all famous masters are in the south of Chu"; Longxi Hall (commonly known as Li's family temple) in Jingtou group 1 and 2 was built in 1620, with two rooms and three rooms. Li's ancestral hall was built in 1424, the 22nd year of Yongle reign of Zhu Di, the emperor of Ming Dynasty. It faces east and faces west. It is three wide and three deep. It is of brick and wood structure. It is composed of a front hall, a middle hall, a back hall, a patio and a kitchen. After six times of maintenance in Qing Dynasty. In 2003, with the approval of Hunan Provincial People's government, it was listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit together with bajiaolou 1.
Located on the left side of Li's ancestral hall, the octagonal tower was built to reward Li Xing and Li an for their contributions. It is a kind of gate building. It sits in the northwest and faces southeast. The four corners of the eaves and the four corners of the bottom eaves echo each other, so it is called "octagonal building". The general layout and architectural type system are the typical representatives of gate buildings in Ming Dynasty.
Tuqiao civilization tower was built in the Ming Dynasty and collapsed in the late Qing Dynasty. It was rebuilt in 1940.
Fire dragon
Xianghuolong is mainly made of rice straw, brown leaves, bamboo slices, bamboo poles and special Longxiang produced in Rucheng. It is made by local traditional binding process.
Most of the Dragon Dance ceremonies are held during the Lantern Festival every year to pray for a smooth new year's weather, a bumper harvest and the peace of the country and the people. The incense fire dragon and its related dragon ceremony in Rucheng are integrated with traditional crafts, music, dance and folk rituals, which vividly shows the wisdom of the local people and their ardent expectation for a better life.
In 2008, Dragon Dance (Rucheng fragrant fire dragon) was selected into the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
famous scenery
In Tuqiao Town, there are seven dragon arches, qingfengyan and other natural landscapes. Seven dragon arches are seven stone peaks arranged in the shape of "one" from high to low. They look like giant dragons leaping to fly from side to side, so they are named after them. During the Anti Japanese War, qingfengyan once became the activity point of Qiming branch of the Communist Party of China in Rucheng, and carried out revolutionary activities here.
